My little hawk
I would jess you
Put a hood over your head
Tie a rope to your talon
Train you to seek food
Only from me
And thus bind you to me
Oh my little hawk
But, my little hawk,
I would thus demean my soul
I would thus pervert your nature
I would rob us both of happiness
And the ties that would bind us
Would be but impure
So, my little hawk
I find that for both our sakes
I really have to let you fly free
And pray
My little hawk
Pray
Pray that
Every so often
Of your own accord
When you do so choose
You come to land in my perch
And, my little hawk
When that happens
I have to feed you with my love
And delight in the radiance of your presence
So
Fly
My little hawk
Fly free
And
If
When
You want
Come back...
